Media Release: The Trev experience arrives for Kiwi livestock operators

“Dairy farmers have long benefited from the daily validation of a milk tanker docket. We've designed Trev’s new livestock offering to help close some of that gap by providing confidence and visibility of how things are tracking on a weekly basis, ultimately giving farmers a better lay of the land” - Scott Townshend

The Trev experience arrives for livestock operators in New Zealand.

25th January 2023 -

New Zealand owned farm reporting software company Trev has announced the release of a tailored product offering for sheep, beef and deer farmers.

Launched in 2018, Trev has quickly become a favourite for Kiwi farmers to manage their farm reporting requirements to help drive on-farm excellence.

Initially starting out in dairy, Trev provides farmers a software tool to easily build and control their own farm database, providing productive, profitable and sustainable insights.

Information can be shared across a farming operation, to off-farm advisors or to other platforms such as financial software providers, processors or organisations that determine a farm’s licence to operate.

Trev’s new product offering sees the company deliver a tailored solution for livestock operations, particularly sheep, beef and deer farmers.

Modules for the drystock application include paddock level reporting, liveweights, supplementary feed, general management and more.

Farmers are guided through a weekly reporting framework that takes less than ten minutes a week to complete. Trev then scrutinises, structures and stores the information captured. Displaying it back to the farmer instantly to analyse in a range of templated and customisable dashboards to provide valuable business insights.

Trev CEO and founder Scott Townshend says, “Kiwi farmers, regardless of sector, are facing similar challenges to get the most out of their operation, whether that’s from a productivity or compliance standpoint.

We’ve been hearing from many sheep and beef operators for quite some time that like their dairy counterparts, there was a need for a simple reporting tool to help with on-farm and business decisions so we’re delighted to be able to front up with a solution.”

This will be the first time that some in this sector have access to a practical tool with benchmarking capability, serving data in a meaningful and valuable format.

“Dairy farmers have long benefited from the daily validation of a milk tanker docket. We've designed Trev’s new livestock offering to help close some of that gap by providing confidence and visibility of how things are tracking on a weekly basis, ultimately giving farmers a better lay of the land” comments Scott.
